This is a view of the Angle and the Copse of Trees taken while leaning on the fence on Emmitsburg Road that passes through the center of the field of Pickett's Charge. You're looking at the last few hundred yards Confederate troops walked before the hand to hand confrontation with Union troops at the Angle. |

This is the reverse shot from the one above taken while leaning on Emmitsburg Road fence and facing the Virginia monument far across the field in the middle of the tree line. Confederate troops were past the half way mark when they hit the fence and double canister from Union cannon. |

This is the Codori Barn
that stands right in the middle of the
Battlefield on Emmitsburg Road . I
overheard a Battlefield Guide tell her party that the barn was not here
at the time of the Battle as it dates back to the 1880s.

Reenactor camp setup on the front lawn of the Wax Museum on Steinwehr Avenue. The Museum hosts reenacting groups throughout the summer months. Here's a display of a Civil Warn surgeon. You never know what groups you'll find here but they are all great to talk to and learn from. |

I met these fine ladies in period dress at the Wax Museum as well. I'm amazed by how they always manage to look so cool despite the summer heat. You'll see many men and women reenactors walking on Steinwehr Avenue in this area. Great opportunities for photos! |
